Amazing!

I have many bass options and this is my go to. Great travel bass as well. I was shocked at the playability of this!

Big sound

This bass is outstanding. I wanted a bass that I could practice with at the house without an amp. I took it out a few times and it is LOUD and full. It's fun to play as well.

Great Bass

I am a band director and I picked up this bass so I could teach some students. Works great, I love the sound and I love how portable it is.

Great size, great looking, great sounding.
I highly recommend it.

Awesome Little Travel Bass!!

This little bass guitar far exceeded my expectations! I was looking for an inexpensive travel bass for an island vacation. I have a 34" scale acoustic bass I thought would be way too big for an overhead bin, and the availability for small-scale acoustic basses at the pawn shops was zero. The Cordoba Mini II Bass MH-E seemed to fit the bill. I also bought the Cordoba padded case for it.

The size was perfect for travel, but I was concerned that the smaller body would produce a much smaller sound and I'd have trouble not being heard playing along an acoustic guitar. I shopped around for a small travel-sized bass amp but all I found were small guitar amps. After consulting with Mason Hunter at Sweetwater, he explained that the built-in preamp should be able to power a small Bluetooth speaker, and recommended a ¼" to 1/8" stereo cable that would plug into my JBL Flip 4 speaker.

I just got back from vacation, and the setup worked perfectly. I traveled with my band's lead guitar player, along with our significant others. We played and sang cover songs at small bars and beach parties for a week. Playing the Mini II with a pick, I could produce enough volume to keep up if we were playing for a small group, but by plugging into my little JBL speaker I had no trouble keeping up with one or more acoustic guitars.

Out of the box set-up and playability was excellent, the sound was great, and I received many compliments on the look and sound coming out of this tiny bass. 5 stars on both the guitar and the shopping experience!!

Purpose Built

I have been shopping smaller acoustic basses because I have developed back problems. This little beast is quite perfect, practically weightless compared to my electric. The plugged in sound is not the same as my electric, the pickup here definitely hears more finger touches so there is a learning curve to find "my" sound. The ability to play without power is really nice, as my playing is generally in a more intimate environment not really needing to be as loud as my amp can get. However, if playing with louder instruments, this might not carry very well and need to be amplified.
