Lightweight LP with a Carved Maple Top and Alnico Humbuckers

In pairing a lightweight mahogany body with a spanky maple top, the Epiphone Les Paul Studio builds on the same DNA as its more-expensive cousins. This no-frills musician's tool is equipped for great performance and all the right visual beats. Its '60s-profile SlimTaper "D" mahogany neck and trapezoid-inlaid pau ferro fingerboard afford great playability and price-defying luxury. The Les Paul Studio features Alnico Classic and Classic Plus humbucking pickups — enhanced by push-pull volume pots for coil splitting — to yield rich, no-compromise tone. High-quality tuners and a LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge pour rock-solid intonation into every soulful strum and sultry melody you unearth in this all-occasions axe. A full complement of black Speed Knobs gives you quick access to those coveted Les Paul tones.

Select woods exhibit classic tone

The Epiphone Les Paul Studio's classic body woods present a combination of clarity, definition, and fullness. You get a trebly bite from the maple veneer top and excellent depth and from the lightweight mahogany. The set-in mahogany neck and pau ferro fretboard further enhance this guitar's tone. Whether you're after bell-like cleans or fire-breathing gains, you'll love the full-range sound, tonality, and playability you get in the Epiphone Les Paul Studio.

Pickups for any occasion

Les Pauls have always been flexible guitars. The Alnico Classic humbuckers in the Epiphone Les Paul Studio give you everything from snarling rock aggression to velvety jazz smoothness. These humbucking pickups pack a ton of output, so you'll never get lost in the mix. Plus, with push-pull volume pots, you can split the coils for different tonal textures. No matter what style of music you play, the Epiphone Les Paul Studio comes correct.

The consummate rock guitar

For generations, guitar players have gravitated toward the Les Paul. Rock icons such as Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Slash, and many others heavily utilized the Les Paul. From warm, fat blues tones to scorching rock riffs and solos, the Les Paul has done it all. Interested in tapping into decades of iconic tone? Pick up a classic today — the Epiphone Les Paul Studio from Sweetwater.

Exceeded my expectations

I bought this beauty because I loved the color. It's even better than the pictures. I have the Prophecy which is an amazing guitar and didn't expect it to be as good. It actually is but with a different skill set. It's light, versatile, and has better clean tones. The fit and finish is superb for the price. I couldn't be happier. Epiphone really delivers a good quality guitar. The photo shows both of them.

My first maple top single cut

It's a literal beast of a guitar,at first the shorter scale length was something different to get used to.,but the tones from the maple top are truly awesome,I didn't have the $for a full blown Gibson.,but this little beauty is just fine.,it chugs like crazy and it hits the tone iv been looking for since I started playing.,and it's looks are killer.

Was looking for a Gibson, but this Epiphone will do fine.

I was looking for a Smokehouse Les Paul for awhile. I came across a model that was sold as a husk on Ebay. It was ideal, in that my finances aren't good enough for a Gibson, and I have boxes of guitar parts I have saved over the years. It turned into an outstanding custom build. This Studio makes for a real pro playing and sounding (not to mention it's outstanding looks)guitar. It has become my instant favorite.

This is one beautiful instrument!

I don't know what I can say about this, it has met or exceeded my expectations. This beauty is my 9th Epiphone and I'm not disappointed. If I had to find a flaw, then it would be the strings. They left an awful residue on my fingers (looked like I was working on a car). Some suggested that they may have been old stock and had begun to oxidize (I don't know). Anyway that should in no way sway your decision if you want a really nice guitar.

Exactly What I Was Looking For

Decided to try to pick up guitar again recently. Previously played over 10 years ago and never made it past novice. One thing that annoyed me on my previous try was the quality of the beginner guitar I had. Since I'd be buying this one on my own instead of asking my parents (I was a teenager), I wanted to buy something with more quality. A guitar that I didn't feel like I needed to upgrade shortly after learning.

This fits the bill perfectly. I haven't been able to put it down since I've gotten it. Only thing holding me back is trying not to get too bad of blisters from playing for the first time in years.

I'm very impressed with the quality of everything on this guitar. The pick ups sound great. I've had no problems with keeping the guitar in tune. The action is low. My hands fit around the neck easily (small hands). There's no fret buzzing and everything is sanded down well with no sharp edges. And of course, it's an absolutely gorgeous guitar. I searched for flaws and could find none. I could not stop looking at this guitar for days.

Thanks to Epiphone and Sweetwater for such an incredible guitar. It definitely makes learning that much easier with such good equipment at such an affordable price.
