A Hot-rodded, High-performance Axe

This Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder PT FR is a hot-rodded, high-performance electric guitar. Its resonant mahogany body yields a warm sound with impressive sustain, while EMG Retro Active humbuckers dish out clear and dynamic output that’s guaranteed to make your amp wail. Experience easy playability, thanks for a comfortable Thin-C neck. Dive-bomb with confidence, by virtue of a Schecter-exclusive Floyd Rose tremolo. The Sun Valley Super Shredder PT FR is a real attention-getter, too — its ebony fingerboard, black hardware, and Metallic White finish create an eye-grabbing contrasted look that’s hard to miss.

Hot-rodded construction

Inspired by souped-up and highly modified rock guitars, this Sun Valley Super Shredder PT FR exudes a no-nonsense, high-performance attitude. Its blacked-out hardware and electronics sit on a comfortable mahogany T-style body. A bolt-on hard rock maple neck features a fast Thin-C neck contour and a 22-fret, 14" radius fretboard. And the Sun Valley Super Shredder PT FR's neck heel is beautifully contoured, allowing unrestricted access to the guitar's highest frets.

EMG Retro Active electronics

Schecter tapped EMG Pickups to supply the Sun Valley Super Shredder PT FR's horsepower. Their Retro Active electronics utilize a specially designed active preamp system and passive-style coils for a tone that boasts vintage clarity with modern power. The onboard preamp treats each coil of the pickups separately. This helps remove low-mid frequencies that can muddy up your signal. And a simple-to-use 2-knob control layout works in conjunction with the 3-way pickup selector to access a wide variety of tones.

Schecter-exclusive Floyd Rose Trem

Schecter and Floyd rose have partnered to bring you the Floyd Rose Hot Rod double-locking tremolo for a new level of control and stability. Floyd Rose has long been one of the best double-locking tremolo sellers at Sweetwater. And the Hot Rod is a specialized take on their iconic design that you will only find on select Schecter guitars. The addition of this trem is another appointment that prepares this Sun Valley Super Shredder PT FR for your best playing.

Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder PT FR Features:

  • Resonant mahogany body yields a warm sound with impressive sustain
  • Clear and dynamic EMG Retro Active pickups
  • 2-knob control layout works in conjunction with a 3-way pickup selector to access a variety of tones
  • Comfortable Thin-C neck contour provides easy playability
  • Floyd Rose tremolo lets you dive-bomb with confidence
  • Ebony fingerboard, black hardware, and Metallic White finish create an eye-grabbing contrasted look

Simply Incredible!

I've owned over 20 guitars in my life. Nothing has compared to Schecter their name should be lifted high. These guitars are incredible and affordable. I also own a Hellraiser C-1 FR S. Both are of incredible quality. Even in comparison with guitars I own that I paid in the range of $2000 for. These guitars are incredibly under rated. And for Sweet Water your customer care and over all service is unrivaled. I highly recommend Ed Nystrom. He is quick to respond and provides and excellent service. Thanks!

Best Schecter I've played

It is one of the best playing schecters ive used, I've not usually been a fan of Schecter but i really like this one so good on you guys for making this awesome guitar.

I love it

Mine was ready to shred right out of the box. I love it. I doubt this axe can be beaten for all it offers at the price point. It stays in tune well and does not have the dreaded Floyd Rose instability when docking to the bridge for muting and control. The Tele platform is also uniquely cool for a shredder configured this way, and in my case it lends the right amount of counter-leverage to assist with fluid legato lines. The radius is great for a balance of chorded rhythms and leads, and the neck profile in general is excellent for me. I have tennis elbow, and this instrument doesn't fatigue me out fast like some of my other gear. Finally, dive bombs and aerials don't throw the tuning out after quite a number of uses. If you are on the fence, go ahead and jump down. I have numerous guitars, and this is my favorite by a long shot now.

Really like this guitar a lot

I was on a nostalgia buying spree and was remembering a black (I think) charvel tele back in the 1980's. May have been another brand, but the point is I always wanted a tele (just not a true fender, wanted it to be hot rodded) I received a Schecter directly from the company (a black Sun Valley Super Shredder with sustainer) and while looking online about more info on it (demos etc) I saw this one but hadn't seen it on the Schecter site, came here saw it and bought it instantly.

I will saw I am not a fan of the EMG Retro Active Hot 70 at all. I haven't playing it through my physical amps yet, just my DAW with Amp sims and IR's, so it may just need dialing in but... I am likely to change the bridge out to an 81. we'll see. Or just have my tech put in SD's or something else I know will sound good in this.

I have paid twice as much for lesser playing guitars.

This guitar hooked me at first sight, I don't need another guitar and wasn't looking for one. But I saw this one and kept coming back and checking it out. Finally, pull the trigger and it arrived today. Played great out of the box just a little tune needed which is 100% expected. The EMGs sound nice and warm and surprised me by being active pickups. There is nothing you will regret about picking this beast up.
